| Dear Friends, This marks the 2nd year I will participate in the MS Walk. As many of you already know, the reason why I walk is because my husband Brandon has MS. I have seen first-hand many of the effects of this devastating disease, and I am committed to do what I can, not only for him, but for all of the others who have MS. The MS Walk is held throughout the country to build awareness about multiple sclerosis and to raise money for a cure. I’ve committed myself to meet both a physical and fundraising challenge by signing up for the MS Walk, and I need your help to meet my fundraising goal. MS is an unpredictable and devastating disease that can attack any of us in the prime of life. There are more than 8,000 Arizonans with MS. Imagine, one day you are ready to take on the world…and the next you are faced with the diagnosis of an incurable and debilitating disease. That’s why I’m participating in the MS Walk and asking you to help me make a difference. MS researchers have made extraordinary progress in the last few years searching for a cure, and your contribution will help support these vital efforts. Funds will also be used to support local programs for people with MS and their families. Sponsoring me is easy. Just send me a check payable to the National MS Society. Or visit www.nationalmssociety.org/aza to E-pledge and learn more about MS. Any amount is appreciated, and it all adds up. Remember, your donation is tax deductible. Thank you for helping me in my quest to help fight MS. Warmest regards, Heather Horrocks Heather.horrocks@hotmail.comHeather.horrocks@mail.house.gov | | |
| well let's see.... my year this year so far has been one of my most exciting yet! to recap: I not only went on a life-long 'dream trip' to Paris, I also became engaged to a wonderful man, proceed to marry him 9 days later!, moved into a new apartment, saw one of my bestest friends get married, became a new aunt, and....i'm sure some other odds and ends happened as well! It has definitely been a fairly eventful year! Brandon and I are going camping this weekend up in Sedona...we are both looking forward to that! I am not quite sure what to expect....I seriously have not been camping since I was 11 or 12, so it's been quite awhile! But we are going to make the trek up to Sedona, AZ- for those of you who haven't been, it is absolutely breathtaking! Sedona has absolutely gorgeous red rock, and the weather is perfect! (although perhaps a little chilly for camping; that remains to be seen!) Aside from this trip, life has been pretty steady; both of us working the '8-5' grind, and keeping busy with our respective careers. It has been fun to decorate our apartment, and I am fast becoming a 'pier one' aficionado! Brandon and I at Cari's wedding
